The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the offshore supply chain and ensuring smooth operations for rigs. This includes coordinating shipments, tracking inventory, handling offshore logistics, and ensuring compliance with Qatars regulatory and HSE requirements. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in offshore logistics.
Coordinate cargo shipments, including drilling equipment, spare parts, and chemicals, to offshore rigs via supply vessels or helicopters.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment of critical materials.
Liaise with procurement teams, vendors, and customs authorities for import/export clearance.
Plan and schedule supply vessel movements in coordination with rig crews.
Oversee fuel, water, and bulk material deliveries to ensure operational continuity.
Manage helicopter logistics for crew changes and emergency requirements.
Ensure adherence to Qatar Customs, Ministry of Energy (MME), and QatarEnergy (QP) regulations.
Prepare accurate shipping manifests, customs documentation, and HSE paperwork.
Handle urgent deliveries, such as replacement of broken equipment, to minimize rig downtime.
Optimize logistics costs by evaluating freight options and improving operational efficiency.
Utilize logistics software (SAP, Oracle, or rig-specific tools) for tracking shipments and inventory.
Generate daily and weekly logistics reports for rig managers and offshore supervisors.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in offshore or oilfield logistics; Jackup rig experience preferred.
Familiarity with QatarEnergy (QP) supply chain processes is highly advantageous.
Certifications:
BOSIET/FOET (required if offshore site visits are necessary).
Dangerous Goods (DG) Handling Certification for chemical shipments.
Skills:
Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and logistics software.
Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency logistics efficiently.
Offshore rotations and travel may be required.
Role requires coordination with multiple stakeholders, including rig crew, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
