YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in O'Connor WA, supporting the safe, compliant and timely execution of project logistics activities across a diverse customer portfolio.

Reporting to the Supply Operations Manager, this role will coordinate shipment milestones, supplier follow-up, documentation, freight bookings, billing inputs and stakeholder communications to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in freight forwarding, project logistics or transport operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and coordinating multiple activities across the supply chain.

You will play a key role in supporting project cargo movements, maintaining customer service standards and ensuring operational requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

  • Coordinate project cargo movements across air, sea, road and rail transport modes
  • Manage shipment milestones, freight bookings and project documentation
  • Follow up suppliers regarding cargo readiness, shipment requirements and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate communication with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, agents and customers
  • Prepare and validate shipping, customs and project documentation
  • Monitor shipment progress and provide timely updates to stakeholders
  • Identify and escalate operational risks, delays and documentation issues
  • Support job costing, invoice preparation and creditor invoice review activities
  • Maintain accurate records within freight management and tracking systems
  • Contribute to safe, compliant and customer-focused project execution.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You'll have experience in freight forwarding / project logistics and:

  • Knowledge of logistics documentation, freight bookings and shipment tracking processes
  • Understanding of Incoterms, customs requirements and international freight movements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and issue resolution
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment
  • Experience with project cargo, breakbulk, heavy-lift, out-of-gauge or hazardous cargo movements will be highly regarded
  • Exposure to CargoWise or similar freight management systems will be advantageous.

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
