Job Description

We are seeking an experienced logistic coordinator to assist with shipping and logistics activities, support carriers and warehouse coordination, and provide support for finance / freight payment tasks.

The successful candidate will have the ability to thrive in an international environment of rapid change, work effectively within cross-functional teams, will be highly resourceful, able to deliver strong results. He has a passion for operational excellence and possess a strong set of communication and analytical skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee inbound & outbound transportation - intercompany and direct to customers - in EMEA (more than 10M$).
  • Manage carrier relationships (negotiations, performance, SLAs, contracts).
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Optimize routing, load planning and freight costs.
  • For SEVREY Distribution Center:
    • for factory-to-DC flows and shipments to DUBAI, negotiate with carriers and define routing guides.
    • investigate and resolve customers or shipper complaints.
    • enter routing guides into Warehouse Management System (INFOLOG).
  • For DUBAI Distribution Center, organize specific shipments (direct shipments to customers) and process booking.
  • Support DC managers in negotiating freight rates for DC outbound flows.
  • Collaborate with staff members to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures as well as company budget goals and customer service objectives.
  • Collaborate with IT to define specifications for transport applications linked to ERP
  • Set-up and monitor carriers’ scorecards.
  • Set-up and monitor transport analytics for inbound and outbound as well (volume, costs, trends…).
  • Set-up and ensure robust freight payment process for every entities.
  • Audit DCs and factories’ freight payments against carriers’ contracts and shipment documents.
  • All other duties as assigned.

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience required;
  • An Undergraduate degree in logistics, supply chain management, business or a related field preferred;
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required;
  • English proficiency; Any other language an asset;.
  • Self-Starter with the ability to develop strategic initiatives and drive results.
  • Must be a pro-active communicator to all levels of management.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skillset that is effective at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and relationships in a global organization.
  • Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives
