Logistics Coordinator Job, Albany, Georgia

Arclin USA LLC is searching for talent for a Logistics Coordinator Job for our Albany, Georgia location. Reporting into the Plant Manager, This position is primarily responsible for ensuring customers satisfaction through delivery, service, inventory accuracy and quality. Works very closely with Planning, Production, the plant’s sub-contracted Freight Company, and Sales to coordinate movement of product to meet customer requirements while minimizing all demurrage charges.

Logistics Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize JDE and work with production scheduling to determine shipping requirements and create shipping schedule to meet customer requirements. Communicate any issues to Planning and Customer Service in a timely manner and work to develop a feasible solution.

• Maximize logistic efficiencies within the plant and with all freight carriers

• Organize outbound shipments and assign trucking companies as required.

• Use JD Edwards platform as efficiently as possible to ensure all pick tickets are prepared properly and all inventory is ready for on-time loading of all trailers.

• Generate effective and efficient lanes for all high volume customers

• Minimize logistic bottlenecks within the plant

• Work closely with all customers’ receiving departments to understand their expectations and requirements

• Track late loads and share findings with all managers during daily meetings and with all relevant carrier dispatchers

• Track and report all loading and unloading demurrage charges

• Manage and organize staging of all progressive loading shipments

• Coordinate quarterly progress meetings with our freight company to review successes and challenges

• Documents monthly successes and challenges

• Coordinate inventory cycle counts and full inventory counts on timing determined by finance and planning management. Scope could include finished product or raw materials or both.

Logistics Coordinator Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or other relevant field

• Computer skills; extensive knowledge with Microsoft software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access or other database experience.

• Ability to quickly adapt to new office applications software

• Must be able to communicate well with people at all levels. Both written and verbally

• Must have good organizational skills, be a self-starter and a team player

• Must be self- motivated to learn and perform job requirements with minimal direct supervision or instruction

• Must be capable of managing multiple job duties simultaneously while continuously updating priorities
