We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support the seamless movement of fresh produce from Moroccan growers to European and UK markets. This is a critical operational role that bridges origin activities with destination requirements, ensuring shipments are executed efficiently, documentation is accurate, and communication flows effectively across the supply chain.
The successful candidate will work closely with growers, packhouses, hauliers, logistics teams, commercial stakeholders, and destination agents to deliver outstanding service levels while maintaining strict compliance with export requirements.
Key Performance Outputs
Grower Coordination & Packing Compliance
Monitor and verify that growers pack fruit according to agreed customer specifications and packing instructions.
Identify and escalate discrepancies proactively to relevant internal stakeholders.
Maintain regular communication with growers to ensure adherence to quality standards, time lines, and packing requirements.
Shipment Planning & Status Tracking
Coordinate with growers to confirm:
Expected packing dates
Actual packing completion dates
Departure times from packhouses
Provide accurate and timely shipment status updates to the logistics team.
Ensure all parties remain informed of shipment progress and operational milestones.
Transport & Truck Tracking
Monitor truck movements and transport activities in collaboration with growers and transport providers.
Track departures, transit progress, delays, deviations, and estimated arrival times.
Communicate updates promptly to support proactive engagement with customers, destination agents, and border authorities.
Documentation & Operational Accuracy
Assist with resolving packing list discrepancies and shipment intake issues.
Support growers in correcting export and import documentation where required.
Facilitate efficient document flow between growers and internal teams to minimize delays and operational risks.
Contribute to maintaining high levels of documentation accuracy and compliance.
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
Act as a key link between Moroccan origin operations and the EU logistics team.
Support service excellence through proactive issue identification and resolution.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on logistics processes, communication, and documentation accuracy.
Quality Monitoring Support
During the Southern Hemisphere import season (approximately October to January), assist in monitoring the quality of imported fruit, primarily from South Africa and Peru.
Participate in planned travel assignments to Europe and/or the UK to conduct quality inspections, verify handling practices, and support alignment between source and destination quality assessments.
Provide detailed market feedback to support commercial, operational, and technical decision-making.
