OF FUNCTIONS:
The Colostrum Logistics Coordinator is responsible for facilitating all aspects of colostrum inventory, supplies, and transportation, including both fresh and frozen product. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, dependable professional with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. This individual must be a conceptual thinker who can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication, time-management, and coordination skills are essential to ensure smooth operations across internal teams, warehouse partners, farms, and transportation carriers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare, schedule, and coordinate fresh and frozen colostrum shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Manage order preparation and shipment scheduling while working closely with management, operations, and warehouse teams.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact between transportation carriers and warehouse partners, resolving issues as they arise.
• Communicate inbound delivery schedules to the plant and provide all required documentation in advance.
• Maintain detailed inbound and outbound shipment schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and on-time arrivals.
• Ensure shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, delivery receipts, manifests) is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
• Maintain freight spreadsheets to ensure accurate recordkeeping for invoice approval and payment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for onsite and third-party warehousing locations.
• Reconcile system inventories with daily third-party receipts and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure proper product rotation, inventory accuracy, and timely stock replenishment for both fresh and frozen colostrum.
• Provide weekly and monthly inventory reports to management.
• Manage pallet consolidation orders for frozen colostrum to optimize storage and transportation efficiency.
• Balance and verify that all manifests are received to ensure accurate producer payment.
• Manage farm supply ordering and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support collection operations.
• Create and manage stickers and labeling associated with colostrum collection.
• Coordinate test kit shipments to and from potential farms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain organized and accurate records to support audits, reporting, and operational reviews.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement by participating in process improvement, efficiency, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics, inventory accuracy, and communication workflows.
• Assure confidentiality and discreet handling of all company, producer, and operational information.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people is essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
• College Degree is preferred but not required.
