Borealis is now Borouge International - We create essential materials that move the world forward. Are you ready to join us?
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to our Base Chemicals supply chain team in Porvoo. If you are interested in road/rail or maritime logistics, planning and are used to problem-solving, networking and continuous improvement of processes and systems, we encourage you to read further!
As part of our local Supply Chain team, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating both inbound and outbound flows of petrochemical feedstocks and products. Your primary responsibility will involve the scheduling of logistics for cracker products (ethylene, propylene, C4s) and aromatics products (benzene, phenol and acetone), working collaboratively with your colleagues while managing streams related to the location of our petrochemical products.
Our operations span international boundaries, so you’ll regularly interact with commercial, logistics, and operations teams across various locations. In addition to these internal connections, you’ll also engage with a diverse range of external customers and stakeholders. This dynamic environment not only broadens your professional network but also ensures that your contributions will have a meaningful impact on our ongoing development and success.
As our new Logistics Coordinator, these will be your main tasks:
Given the rapidly evolving nature of our industry, adaptability is essential—especially as circularity remains a top priority for us. With renewable feedstocks and products already integrated into our portfolio, your work will be both intellectually stimulating and rewarding. The transition to renewables offers exciting opportunities to innovate, establish new processes, and help steer our company toward a more sustainable future.
We are looking for someone with a positive and open mindset and willingness to continuously improve and develop both processes and yourself.
We expect you to have a bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g. economics) and 3-5 years of relevant logistics experience. Understanding of supply chain processes and hands-on SAP experience are highly appreciated.
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written Finnish and English are mandatory in this position. Problem solving and change management skills are an advantage. We expect you to participate in the on-call duty.
We offer you a supportive working culture, a competitive reward package and the opportunity to develop yourself professionally in a unique, dynamic and international environment.
The position is located in the Kilpilahti industrial area in Porvoo, around 30 minutes from Helsinki by car. We also offer bus transportation from Helsinki, Porvoo and nearby areas. Our employee benefits include, for example, sports and culture benefits and a sickness fund. Hybrid work is possible in this role in line with our hybrid working model.
