We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to our Base Chemicals supply chain team in Porvoo. If you are interested in road/rail or maritime logistics, planning and are used to problem-solving, networking and continuous improvement of processes and systems, we encourage you to read further!

As part of our local Supply Chain team, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating both inbound and outbound flows of petrochemical feedstocks and products. Your primary responsibility will involve the scheduling of logistics for cracker products (ethylene, propylene, C4s) and aromatics products (benzene, phenol and acetone), working collaboratively with your colleagues while managing streams related to the location of our petrochemical products.

Our operations span international boundaries, so you’ll regularly interact with commercial, logistics, and operations teams across various locations. In addition to these internal connections, you’ll also engage with a diverse range of external customers and stakeholders. This dynamic environment not only broadens your professional network but also ensures that your contributions will have a meaningful impact on our ongoing development and success.

As our new Logistics Coordinator, these will be your main tasks:

  • Plan, execute and coordinate deliveries of vessels/trains and trucks and manage site related petrochemical and aromatics product streams also and including supplier deliveries with sales managers, traders, product managers, customers, suppliers and other external stakeholders
  • Participate in business development projects, contribute with local expert knowledge
  • Pro-actively support troubleshooting activities in situation of short or long supply
  • Problem solving with customers and suppliers
  • Participating in on-call duties.

About you

We are looking for someone with a positive and open mindset and willingness to continuously improve and develop both processes and yourself.

We expect you to have a bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g. economics) and 3-5 years of relevant logistics experience. Understanding of supply chain processes and hands-on SAP experience are highly appreciated.

Excellent knowledge of spoken and written Finnish and English are mandatory in this position. Problem solving and change management skills are an advantage. We expect you to participate in the on-call duty.
