Job Description

Logistics Coordinator | Bristol

Drive the heart of our delivery operations by ensuring our fleet is compliant, our routes are optimized, and our customers receive the food they believe in every single day.

What you will be doing

As our Logistics Coordinator, you will be the pulse of the Bristol transport hub, balancing meticulous data management with real-time problem solving. Working closely with the Group Transport Manager, you will ensure our drivers are supported and our compliance standards remain industry-leading.

  • Planning & Dispatch: Produce daily and weekly transport plans, assign routes to drivers, and manage all shift paperwork to ensure a seamless start and end to the day.
  • Fleet & Compliance: Maintain rigorous compliance records, download vehicle tachographs, and manage the fleet schedule by coordinating with service providers for maintenance and collections.
  • Operational Support: Oversee deliveries proactively, act as the primary point of contact for permanent and agency drivers, and resolve route issues to keep the depot fully informed.
  • Administration & Finance: Handle essential data entry via the Accord system, record KPIs and vehicle weights, and manage the weekly release of forward orders and daily invoicing.

What you will bring

We are looking for an ambitious individual who is eager to learn and progress within the business, bringing a blend of transport knowledge and administrative precision.

  • Experience: You should possess foundational knowledge of transport or planning within the logistics industry and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
  • Hard Skills: Proficient in data entry and record-keeping (ideally with systems like Accord), you have a sharp eye for accuracy regarding vehicle weights, KPIs, and compliance documentation.
  • Soft Skills: A proactive communicator who can build trust with drivers and customers alike, you remain calm under pressure when solving route problems and are always willing to help cover other sites when needed.

Why join us

Joining Danish Crown in Bristol means stepping into a role where your contribution to the supply chain is visible and valued. You won't just be entering data; you will be an integral part of a collaborative team that values your desire to grow, offering a stable Monday to Friday schedule and a competitive salary of £30,000.

This is an environment where you can truly stretch yourself. We provide the autonomy for you to manage the daily logistics flow while offering the support of a leadership team that believes in earning respect through example. If you are ready to start immediately and want to build a career in a business built on teamwork, we are ready for you.

About Danish Crown

The Danish Crown Group is a global food processing company and among the largest in its field. The Group is the world’s largest pork exporter and Europe’s largest pork processor. Furthermore, Danish Crown Beef is a significant player in the European beef market.

Just like the crops in the fields continuously change, Danish Crown tirelessly refine and improve how we work, from farm to fork, to ensure good, safe food for people around the world to enjoy. Our history goes back to 1887 and the Danish cooperative movement, and responsibility towards society, our employees and our owners, the farmers, is quite simply in our genes.

As a global leader in meat production, we have big obligations; not just to deliver, but to explore new opportunities. We still have a long way to go and face many challenges. But we remain committed to improving how food is produced - with respect for animals, people and the environment. In this quest, we are prepared to challenge ourselves, the industry and the market.

This journey is not ours alone, but we promise to be the leaders of change.

You will become a part of a strong culture with roots in the Danish co-operative movement, and at all levels of the organization, you will be met by an informal and direct tone.
