DUTIES RESPONSIBI LI TIES

Logistics Assoc iates shall carry out all t asks issued by the Logist ics Supervisor Forem an in a safe and conscientious m anner, pa yi ng special att ent ion to the quality of workm anship and value time m anagem ent constantl y Tasks m ay inc lude but are n ot lim ited t o

  • Receives all inbou nd m at erials and equi pm ent by entering arrival reports and m aterial inspections f or quantity and q uality into ERP Syst em.

  • Properly counts, inspects, identifies, inventories, c ycle count, m arks and issues m at erials t hrough ERP Syst em.

  • I ssues and invent ories co nsum able item s

  • Processes and packages e quipm ent and m aterials f or shipping, st orage or installat ion as required

  • Must be able to f ollow directions and work with lim ited supervision

  • Unloads a nd un packs m aterials as they arrive on site

  • Properly inve ntories and m arks all m aterials requiring storage

  • Ensures tim ely delivery of m aterials and s upport to the t rades as directed

  • Loadsunloads suppli er a nd Austal com pany vehicles f or delivery of m aterials as required

  • Perf orms transactions in ERP system and other software s ystems ut ilizing PC andor wireless scanning equipm ent Utilize PC f or ot her software ap plications, em ail and Microsoft Of fice (ExcelWord) as needed

  • I mm ediately inf orms SupervisorForm an of any i ssues t hat m ay affect perf orm ance or ability to f ulfill required t asks

  • Relies on instructions and pre-est ablished g uidelines to perf orm daily functions of t he job

  • Carries assignments in a safe and conscientious m anner, pa yi ng special att ent ion to the quality of workmanship and values time m anagem ent constantl y

  • May be assig ned t asks outside craft as required

  • I ssues and invent ories too ls, includes t ool engraving

  • Delivers m at erials and tools to t he trades as required

  • Assists with other duties as required

  • Complies with Austal’s employee handbook general guidelines, company procedures and policies.

  • For those performing this role for Post Delivery Services and Support, the following responsibilities are required in addition to the aforementioned:

    • Safely use company assets to make deliveries from the warehouse to the dock.

  • Ability to perform basic m ath (add, subtract, multiply and divide) and m easure required

  • Ability to apply comm on sense und erst anding to carry out ins tructions f urnished in writ ten, oral, or diagram f orm required.

  • Ability to effectively deal with problems t hat m ay arise required

  • Must be able to f ollow directions and work with lim ited supervision required

  • For those performing this role for Post Delivery Services and Support, the following responsibilities are required in addition to the aforementioned:

    • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
    • Must be able to pass and maintain Austal driver qualifications listed below:
      • (A) Must be able to take and pass a National Safety Council - Defensive Driving Course that will be provided by Austal
      • (B) During the past three years, not received one, or, more driver license violation for:
      • Driving while intoxicated (DWI)
      • Driving while under the influence of drugs (DUID)
      • Negligent homicide arising out of the use of a motor vehicle (gross negligence)
      • Operating during a period of suspension or revocation
      • Using a motor vehicle for the commission of a felony
      • Aggravated assault with a motor vehicle
      • Operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s authority (grand theft)
      • Permitting an unlicensed person to drive
      • Reckless driving
      • Leaving the scene of an accident
      • Speed contest (racing)
      • Hit and run (bodily injury or property damage)
      • Eluding a police officer.
    • (C). During the past three (3) years, not received three (3), or, more driver license violations for:
      • All moving violations not listed in “B” above.

ADDITIO NAL GUIDELINES

  • Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment with Austal USA:

  • 18 years of age or older at time of application

  • Able to provide proof of US Person Status

  • No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date

  • No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date

  • Willing to submit to a drug screen

  • Willing to submit to a background check
