Job Purpose
Responsible for the coordination and execution of shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics activities to ensure the timely, accurate, and safe movement of materials, equipment, and products. Supports production requirements, customer shipments, trade shows, demonstrations, and other logistics activities while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
The role works closely with Marketing, Sales, Production, and Customer Service.
Role - Typical Duties:
• Prepare shipping documents, packing lists, shipping labels, and other required paperwork using established company procedures.
• Follow established procedures for customs, export, and carrier documentation, and escalate questions or exceptions to the appropriate team member.
• Enter and maintain accurate serial-number and equipment information for demo robots, accessories, spare parts, and related equipment.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics records in ERP and inventory management systems.
• Communicate routine shipping requirements, priorities, and timelines with internal departments, and track shipments while providing status updates to team members.
• Assist with shipping and logistics activities for trade shows, product demonstrations, customer visits, loaner equipment, and other special events.
• Pick, kit, stage, inspect, and prepare demo robots, accessories, spare parts, and other materials for shipment.
• Prepare outbound shipments, including equipment staging, packaging, labeling, documentation, and pickup preparation.
• Safely package and crate delicate, technical, and high-value robotic equipment using established packaging methods, protective materials, and appropriate tools.
• Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and other applicable documentation, including identifying and reporting damaged or missing items.
• Perform inventory control activities and provide shipping, inventory, and equipment information to internal teams.
• Maintain safe, organized work areas and follow proper material-handling procedures.
• Perform other duties as required to support daily operations.
Skills and Training Required
• 1 year of experience in shipping, logistics, warehousing, inventory, or a related field.
• Knowledge of shipping documentation and domestic/international shipping processes.
• Experience using ERP, inventory management, or warehouse systems.
• Ability to safely handle, package, and move materials and equipment.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow established procedures, and adapt to changing operational requirements.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with high-value, fragile, technical, or specialized equipment is an asset.
• Training in safe material handling, packaging, and applicable shipping procedures as required.
