Major Responsibility

Reporting and Administrative Support

  • Prepare and submit reports on vehicle performance, including condition, fuel consumption, and operational issues.
  • Maintain service history records for each vehicle, ensuring accuracy and integrity for audits.
  • Follow up on unresolved maintenance requests or safety concerns, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Conduct vehicle dispatching on day to day based for filed and town movement
  • Assist the Fleet Manager in preparing monthly and quarterly fleet performance reports.

Fleet Maintenance and Repairs

  • Oversee minor repairs and maintenance, including tire changes, oil checks, and ensuring vehicles are roadworthy.
  • Report major faults or damages to the Fleet Manager and coordinate with the maintenance coordinator for repairs.
  • Ensure vehicles are stocked with essential safety tools, including first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and spare tires.
  • Regularly monitor vehicle performance, submit maintenance requests, and follow up on repairs.

Driver and Vehicle Performance Management

  • Drive WVE vehicles as assigned in accordance with local laws and fleet management policies, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good condition and report issues to the supervisor.
  • Enforce driver compliance with WVE fleet policies, local traffic regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle movement records, including logbook entries and fuel consumption tracking.

Vehicle Documentation and Compliance

  • Liaise with the Road Transport Authority (RTA) and other relevant government bodies to ensure timely vehicle inspections and obtain title certificates for all WVE vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records for vehicle-related documentation, including insurance, licenses, and inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with WVE’s insurance providers for accident claims and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Ensure vehicles comply with local regulations, including registration, licensing, and safety standards.

Required Professional Experience

  • Diploma/Certificate in management/mechanical/logistics management.
  • A minimum of four years’ experience.
  • A minimum of Grade three valid driving licenses.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • Diploma/Certificate in management/Mechanical/logistics management with minimum of three years of experience in fleet-related activities

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Good skills in Microsoft office products (outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Good command of English language.
  • Good Skill on GPS tracking system
  • Good knowledge of RTA and insurance companies’ requirements.
  • Very good knowledge and application of the country’s as well as organization’s Driving, Road Transport & Traffic regulations
  • Willing to support others, Team-oriented and flexible

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

  • Frequent travel to remote locations and flexibility to work extended hours to support operational and emergency response activities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to maintain physical fitness necessary for safe driving and basic vehicle maintenance.

Language Requirements

  • English and Amharic language fluency
