Oriental Merchant is a leading wholesaler and distributor of authentic Asian food goods in the FMCG industry. We supply major supermarkets and independent grocery stores across AU, NZ, EU, UK and CA with brands and products familiar throughout the Asia Pacific region. We are proud of what we have achieved in the Asian food category and are looking for a new addition to our team!

We are looking for our next Logistics Assistant team member to join our team at Chullora, NSW!

This is a Full time, permanent position.

This is an entry level position.

Shift times

Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

Some of your responsibilities includes but not limited to the following:

• Processing, allocating and invoicing orders;
• Liaising with relevant personnel for the delivery of orders;
• Liaising with sales department for deals and offers;
• Assisting with the booking of transport companies;
• Running and analyzing supply-chain related reports
• Pallets control management
• Containers and local delivery co-ordinations
• Emailing and phone-answering for any queries
• Confident to communicate with both internal and external parties
• Filing and general office duties;
• Perform other duties as required from time to time by the logistics manager

Requirements:

• Full Australian working rights
• Mandarin or Cantonese speaking is a MUST
• Microsoft Office experience (high level of exposure to and competency with Excel is a must)
• A current driver’s license
• Strong communication skills
• A great eye for detail and customer service skills
• Proven experience working in an administrative role or supply chain management industry is ideal, but not essential
