Position Summary

The Logistics Analyst provides comprehensive analytical support for Army equipping, readiness, transportation, sustainment, and modernization initiatives. Working across the AMC enterprise, this position supports strategic planning, force projection, operational readiness assessments, and logistics integration efforts. The analyst develops actionable recommendations and executive-level products that enable Army leadership to optimize resource allocation, improve readiness, and enhance sustainment operations.

The work for this position shall be performed onsite in Huntsville, Alabama.

Contingent Upon Contract Award

Duties & Responsibilities

The essential and specific functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyze logistics operations, transportation requirements, equipping strategies, and modernization initiatives.
  • Conduct readiness assessments and evaluate impacts on Army operational capability.
  • Develop briefings, reports, executive summaries, and strategic communications products.
  • Analyze logistics data from GCSS-A, DST, SharePoint, Excel, and other Army systems.
  • Support equipment distribution, redistribution, and force projection planning activities.
  • Identify and assess risks affecting logistics readiness and mission execution.
  • Facilitate coordination with ACOMs, ASCCs, DRUs, HQDA, and AMC organizations.
  • Monitor logistics performance indicators and recommend improvement initiatives.
  • Support strategic planning, resource management, and sustainment decision-making efforts.
  • Participate in readiness forums, planning conferences, and logistics synchronization events.
  • Develop analytical products supporting senior leader decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of Army logistics experience at Brigade level or higher.
  • Minimum five (5) years supporting ACOM, ASCC, Theater Army, Corps, or HQDA organizations.
  • Experience utilizing GCSS-A, DST, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience supporting Army strategic logistics or sustainment planning efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience developing briefings and decision-support products for senior leaders.
  • Strong written communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret security clearance.
