What to Expect

Within inbound transports department at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg you will participate in all aspects of inbound transports. We are responsible for the logistics chain from pickup at the supplier locations to the delivery to the factory. We take full operational control for international & domestic shipments, supporting the further ramp up of the Gigafactory and optimizing the domestic and global transportation networks of Tesla.

You will be part of an international and motivated supply chain team driving frequent changes in transport set-ups in a fast-moving environment. You will witness the factory expansion, increase in production and further ramp up of Tesla Giga Berlin.

What You’ll Do

  • Operational and tactical responsibility for planning & control of transportation for direct materials & project cargo
  • Transportation network planning & tender projects, preparation and development of tender documents like RFI, SOP, specification book, etc.
  • Onboarding process of new carriers and new suppliers in Tesla supply chain
  • Maintain relationships with transportation partners and with all connected Tesla departments
  • Ensure the stakeholder is provided with excellent service throughout the shipment process including quick response to inquiries and problem resolution
  • Work with, maintain and develop functions within Transport Management System (TMS)
  • Using analytical and technical skills for data analysis and dashboard visualization

What You’ll Bring

  • Apprenticeship or College degree in logistics or related field, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • 2+ years of experience in Logistics
  • Challenging the status quo & eagerness to drive change
  • Driver mindset and problem-solving oriented
  • A strong team player
  • High competence in working with Microsoft Office Products (i.e. MS Excel, MS PPT)
  • Knowledge & experience in project management, ideally in tender projects
  • Ability to work in an international, dynamic team in a high pace environment
  • Knowledge of general freight forwarding terms, standards and Incoterms
  • Fluency in English & German, Polish or Czech would be a big plus
  • Valid Driver License
