Job Family Group, Job Family and Level Descriptors:

Supply Chain Group
Performs supply chain activities such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. Defines and implements projects to optimize the supply chain in support of business strategies. Evaluates the competitiveness of the business supply chain with respect to service, cost and investment. Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes.

Logistics
Coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations, including inventory management, warehousing and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products. Controls the impact of a range of activities from receiving, locating and dispatching. Administers an effective system that meets the organization's inventory control needs through efficient transportation of raw materials, component parts and/or finished goods..

Professional with working knowledge and experience within own discipline and developing understanding of related disciplines, completing specialized tasks under moderate supervision.
• Requires experience and knowledge in own job discipline and basic understanding of related job disciplines gained through on the job experience or advanced education.
• Continues to build knowledge about the organization, processes and customers.
• May provide informal guidance to newer team members.
• Has regular, moderate impact on own work team.
• Builds the ability to influence others.
