What’s the role?

Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments and compile stock reports.


Uses a manual or terminal based inventory system. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Maintain organized north and south receiving pads, interior and exterior.

  • Receive daily parcel and freight shipments.

  • Act as a liaison with logistics providers to schedule international and domestic shipments and help resolve any logistical or customs clearance issues.

  • Act as the contact person for non-inventory transactions and project moves to vendors that cannot be transacted at the time of shipment.

  • Request freight quotes from preferred carriers for shipments and as required by departments.

  • Interacts with various internal departments and project managers to communicate status of material related issues.

  • Maintain building access and security protocols on the receiving dock.

  • Operate forklift and crane for unloading trucks and material movement in facility.

  • Complete and maintain HAZMAT shipping certification for DOT, IMDG and IATA.

  • Assist with waste management in regards to routing and hazmat disposal.

  • Assist in Maintaining shipping supplies inventory and waste stream services.

  • Assist in Maintaining inventory reporting for internal and offsite warehouses.

  • Assist facilities with QEC routine facility inspections as needed.

  • Assist facilities with end of day walk through checking doors and alarm system making sure all exits, fire extinguishers and walkways are not blocked as needed.

  • Assist with event setups (moving tables, chairs, etc.) as needed.

  • Assist facilities with vendor walkthroughs as needed.

  • Utilize 6S principles to keep work area optimized and promote a safe workplace culture.

  • Comply with department and company policies and procedures.

  • Communicate status of work to manager and recommend improvement to procedures.

  • Perform related work as apparent or assigned.

Do you qualify?

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 3 years logistics, distribution or related experience.

  • Data Entry, Touch-Screen Device, and Computer skills required.

  • Ability to work accurately with numbers.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Organized and detail oriented.

  • Self-starter and problem solver.

  • Previous experience with SAP preferred.

  • Previous forklift operation experience highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with Hazmat shipping and receiving preferred.

  • Must have a valid drivers license.

Working Conditions and Special Demands:

  • Ability to relate well to others and function as a member of the overall team.

  • Effectively respond to questions/problems and follows up to ensure necessary action has taken place.

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently and efficiently perform assigned activities.

  • Thorough knowledge of stockroom policies and procedures.

  • Good knowledge of products and production processes.

  • Capable of unassisted physical lift of one (1) article weighing up to 75 pounds without mechanical aid.

  • Must be able to work on a ladder and aerial work platform.

  • Work daily with safety toe shoes.

  • Must be able to pass forklift certification and operate forklift as required.

  • Must attend Hazmat training and main certification to handle hazardous materials as required.

  • Must be able to work overtime when needed.
