Halliburton has a position available for suitably qualified person to work as Surface Data Logging (SDL) flexi role. Flexi role refers to individual capable of incorporating duties as both Logging Geologist and Data Engineers within our organization in Norway. Work is primarily OFFSHORE and a degree of flexibility in work schedule is required. Flexi staff worker are offered a core schedule of 4-4-3-3-3-3 (4 weeks available period, 4 weeks on reset, 3 weeks available period etc.).
The role of Halliburton Data Engineers is to monitor offshore activities ranging from drilling, running casing, cementing, completions and other drilling related operations. These activities are monitored using various surface sensors that measure critical parameters of drilling operation. Some of the critical parameters monitored are gas readings, drilling equipment and total fluid volume. Jointly, this monitoring provides our customer with a clear overview of the well, its condition and progress, while ensuring no unintentional release of fluid to the environment. This allows our customers to drill safely and efficiently.
The role of Halliburton of Logging Geologists is to travel to our customer’s installations offshore to perform geological sampling of the formations being drilled. This practice is used to determine what formation is being drilled through, where formations start and finish, if they have reached a specific formation and other geological analysis. Our Logging Geologists also help monitor our gas equipment and maintain and update relevant paperwork required for a safe and efficient drilling operation.
SDL Flexi Role staff may be called upon to support other roles with the department such as advanced gas engineer OR advanced cuttings analysis (XRF and XRD). Suitable training is provided. Therefore any prospective candidate should be versatile, well motivated and eager to delivery high quality for multiple services.
