Position Summary

As a Lodging Operations Intern at Nemacolin, you will gain firsthand insight into the complete luxury guest journey through an immersive, 12-week rotational experience. Through rotations in PBX, Front Desk, Doorman, and Butler Services, you will develop the communication, operational precision, technology skills, and service mindset needed to create exceptional stays. Working alongside experienced hospitality professionals in a Forbes- and AAA-rated environment, you will build a broad foundation in lodging operations while gaining the perspective and confidence to pursue a career in luxury hospitality, guest relations, front-office management, or resort leadership.

What You Will Create

  • Seamless guest communication as you connect guests with the right resort resources through PBX, providing accurate information, polished telephone service, and thoughtful follow-through
  • Confident arrival and departure experiences as you learn how warm greetings, efficient processes, clear communication, and attention to detail shape lasting first and final impressions
  • Personalized stays through your Butler Services rotation as you learn to anticipate preferences, coordinate special requests, and deliver thoughtful service throughout the guest journey
  • Connected lodging operations as you discover how PBX, Front Desk, Doorman, Butler Services, and other departments work together to move guest requests seamlessly across the property
  • Operational confidence through hands-on exposure to lodging, guest-service, communication, and reservation systems that support daily operations and personalized service
  • Informed guest experiences as you develop knowledge of accommodations, amenities, dining, activities, entertainment, packages, events, and hours of operation to confidently guide guests throughout their stay
  • A deeper understanding of luxury service as you experience how discretion, anticipation, personalization, and attention to detail elevate the lodging experience
  • Meaningful professional growth through an experiential project that allows you to apply knowledge from your rotations to an internship-specific learning objective

  • A structured 12-week, full-time rotational experience across PBX, Front Desk, Doorman, and Butler Services
  • Hands-on exposure to the complete guest journey, from the first telephone interaction through arrival, the in-stay experience, and departure

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a bachelor’s degree program in Hospitality Management or a related discipline, with a minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred, with preference given to candidates with experience in a Forbes- or AAA-rated environment
  • Fluency in English is required, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact confidently and professionally with guests, members, and associates
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in luxury hospitality, lodging operations, guest services, or a related field
  • Continuous authorization to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship
  • Ability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Commitment to completing the consecutive 12-week internship and participating fully in all assigned rotations
