We have an opportunity for a 'can do' Lodge Assistant to work with Naumi Hotels two prestigious properties in Queenstown - The Dairy Private & The Central Private. Each property offers 14 stunning guest rooms and suites. This role will definitely appeal to a person wanting to immerse themselves in this incredible picturesque setting with The Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu at your doorstep.

As a Lodge Assistant, your role is to support the existing team deliver service excellence, encompassing a little bit of everything, reception, food and beverage, housekeeping and hosting. The opportunity is for a full-time permanent role with minimum 32 hours of work per week, between Monday to Sunday as per roster.

Our ideal candidate will have...

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role or in Front Office Team
  • A degree in Hospitality or related field
  • Previous experience using Opera PMS, or another property management system
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Housekeeping experience, with a strong understanding of accommodation operations (highly preferred)
  • High standard of personal presentation & communication skills
  • Passion for customer service and providing great experiences
  • Excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends

What you will be doing...

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide professional, friendly service throughout their stay
  • Assist with check-ins, check-outs, guest enquiries, reservations and general front office duties
  • Use Opera PMS, or other property management systems, to manage bookings and guest information accurately
  • Support housekeeping operations, including room checks, room presentation, stock levels, and maintaining accommodation standards
  • Assist with general duties across departments, as required, due to the small team structure
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns and feedback in a timely and solutions focused manner
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and communication through Microsoft Office and internal systems
  • Support daily operational coordination to ensure rooms, guest areas, and services are ready and well presented
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Follow health, safety, hygiene, and company policies at all times
