The role

Applications are open for Locum Specialists in General Medicine at Alfred Care Group for more than one position. Appointments will be offered as fixed term covering leave until January 2027 and can be negotiated as full time or fractional depending on service operation needs and candidate preference. The successful applicant(s) will contribute to all aspects of General Medicine clinical service, including care of admitted and non-admitted patients.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:

  • Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice
  • Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
  • Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in General Medicine
  • Meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in General Medicine
  • Outstanding communication skills, including well-developed conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams.
