What you’ll do
As our Locomotive Maintainer - Electrician, you will primarily be accountable for:
● Fault finding on diesel electric locomotives and other plant and equipment as required
● Installation and servicing, component changes and repairs to systems and equipment
● Maintain maintenance programs in accordance with our Rail Safety Management System requirements and relevant Engineering & Compliance Standards
What you’ll bring
A qualified Electrician with experience in locomotives is essential. Knowledge and experience in maintenance, automotive and heavy vehicle, WHS legislation and risk management in a heavy engineering industry will be highly regarded.
What matters most is that you will be trade qualified. You will have a positive attitude, effective problem solving and fault-finding skills and be keen to contribute to continuous improvement to meet our reliability, availability and safety standards.

Rail First Asset Management has been in operation since the privatisation of the rail industry in the late 1990’s, originally as a subsidiary of the Sasser Family Holdings, Inc. (SFH) a 4th generation, family-owned transportation asset services company with experience dating back to 1928 in the USA.
The group is now owned by Amber Infrastructure Group and DIF Capital Partners, which also have significant experience globally in asset management, leasing and financing.
