An opportunity has presented itself for a Qualified Locomotive Driver to join our team at our Perth Freight Terminal.

What You’ll Do

Safely operate locomotives and trains to meet customer and operational requirements across our Freight operations.

Reporting to the Linehaul Supervisor you will:

• Prepare, manage and operate locomotives and trains in accordance with your competency, safe working qualifications and Pacific National procedures
• Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to deliver strong DIFOT (Delivered In-Full, On-Time) performance
• Provision and prepare locomotives for service, including checking and testing control systems and completing compliance documentation
• Operate and maintain locomotive and train operations in line with operational specifications and procedures
• Actively support and contribute to Pacific National’s safety culture
• Work across a 24/7 roster, supporting mainline freight operations

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience as a rail freight locomotive driver
• Current Certificate IV in Train Driving, please upload during application
• Exceptional commitment to safety and risk management
• A positive, collaborative approach to teamwork
• Strong customer focus
• Basic computer literacy
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
• A current motor vehicle licence
• Availability to work a 24/7 roster
