Under the direction of the Lead Locksmith, the incumbent responsible for maintaining the master key system and locking mechanisms according to accepted locksmith standards.

  • Installs, repairs, rebuilds and services mechanical, electrical or computerized locking devices.
  • Disassembles locks and repairs or replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts.
  • Performs required and preventive maintenance on card "swipe" locks.
  • Inserts new or repaired tumblers into lock to change combination.
  • Cuts new or duplicate keys and key cards; generates master for key cards.
  • Moves lockpick in cylinder to open door locks without keys; opens safe locks by drilling.
  • Maintains records and logs of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s locks and corresponding keys for key control system.
  • Monitors and maintains inventory of cut keys, blanks, and locks; generates requisitions for replenishment as necessary.
  • Always promotes positive public/employee relations.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or technical certificate required as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and 1 year of casino experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a New Jersey Casino Service Registration.
