Who you are:

As the Location Director, you play a pivotal role in steering the operational compass of a designated location. Embracing Worley's commitment to sustainability and delivering impactful change, you will be at the forefront of shaping operational policies and practices. Your leadership will not only optimize processes but also align them with global standards, ensuring Worley's progression towards becoming a recognized authority in sustainability solutions. Your strategic oversight will bridge traditional and sustainable energy realms, contributing significantly to the organization's mission of delivering sustainable change.

What you will do:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and oversee objectives, policies, and procedures for the next 1-3 years, aligning them with Worley's commitment to a sustainable future.
  • Provide business leadership in growing a sustainable and effective business with all offices in the Location united toward a common goal.
  • Maintain operational standards within the Location.
  • Lead and influence others to work collaboratively.
  • Develop and maintain an effective team which competently shares the accountability of leading the business internally and externally.

Operational Excellence:

  • Implement strategies within a complex area, ensuring that operational processes align with Worley's dedication to sustainability and compliance with global standards.
  • Regularly engage with other functions to drive broader work strategies, contributing to Worley's journey of delivering sustainable change.
  • Ensure Bid no bid and pursuit processes are being applied and effective proposals are being delivered for the Location.
  • Ensure overall delivery performance is being monitored and constantly improved.

Customer Relationships:

  • Ensure Customer relationship management is in place for the business.
  • Modern and strategic thinker who has the vision to know-how to introduce digital transformation and increase value to the existing Customer base.
  • Ensure growth strategies are in place and responsible for the continued diversification of the Customer portfolio.
  • Provision of market relevant data in the Customer Relationship Management Tool.
  • Drive collaboration through effective communication and networking, engaging with client senior management and other key stakeholders to promote sustainable practices in operational endeavours.

Strategic Program Management:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic programs and policies for your designated groups, emphasizing their impact on the overall organization's sustainability goals.
  • Manage multiple complex projects through others, collaborating closely with executive management on matters influencing the organization's business results and global sustainability strategies.

Direction and Communication:

  • Provide thought leadership and consultation based on relevant experience, ensuring a balance between traditional and sustainable practices.
  • Effectively communicate complex proposals and reports to executive-level management and/or the Board, showcasing the integration of sustainability initiatives into operational strategies.
  • Demonstrate proven leadership skills in multi-cultural/national environments, fostering a participative management style with a cooperative team approach.

Commercial Acumen:

  • Accountable for the overall financial performance of the Location (EBIT, DSO, GM, Overhead cost etc.).
  • Responsible for weekly business performance outcomes e.g. meeting chargeability targets for business.
  • Close out of contracts including settlement of claims if required.
  • Leverage strong commercial acumen and experience in various commercial contracting models, risk profiles, and project scopes/phases (FEL/EPC/EPCM & Lump Sum/Fixed Price/Target Price/Reimbursable, etc.), ensuring alignment with Worley's

    sustainability goals.

  • Exercise the responsibilities within the assigned delegation of authority.
  • Seek to contribute to the overall commercial benefit of Worley.

Health, Safety & Environment:

  • Consistently demonstrate behaviour and business practices commensurate with a culture of the Health and Safety framework and world’s best health, safety and environmental performance.
  • Support and advocate the implementation of health, safety and environment systems, strategies, standards and processes (including environmental plans or health management programs).

What you will bring:

  • University Degree, or equivalent, in a related field or applicable discipline.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, including project management, recognized as a functional expert, and thought leader.
  • Strong understanding of broader systems, processes, and tools related to the field, emphasizing sustainability integration.
  • Proven ability to spearhead and guide the strategic development of new systems, processes, and tools with sustainability considerations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, showcasing the ability to integrate sustainability into all levels of organizational communication.
  • Proven leadership skills in multi-cultural/national environments, aligned with Worley's commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
  • Experience in large project environment from engineering through to construction and commissioning.
  • Strong commercial acumen aligned with Worley's sustainability goals, encompassing various commercial contracting models and risk profiles in sustainable project scopes/phases.
