Job Description

This role bridges the gap between project management and technical execution, ensuring that localization projects are delivered efficiently and accurately.

Key accountabilities

• Prepare and format files for localization, ensuring compatibility with tools and systems.
• Convert files to and from required formats, maintaining data integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to file handling, tools, and processes.
• Execute Quality Assurance (QA) processes to verify the accuracy and functionality of localized content.
• Re-engineering of some components (re-coding, and other technical changes to accommodate localization-related adjustments, script writing, as required)
• Interface and coordinate with project management and art-graphics personnel, sales and customers; provide input to pre-sale planning and estimating of projects
• Provide support to production and sales management, as required

Must have professional qualifications:

• 0-2 Years of experience, preferably in the translation and localization field.
• BSc's degree in computer science or equivalent background
• English language proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of computer languages (VB, VBA, C++), scripting (Perl, ASP, Java, JSP, Python) and markup languages (XML, HTML, XLIFF,json) Windows and MS Office, regular expression (Regx),QA tools like Xbench, veirifka, and CAT Tools like MemoQ, SDL Trados, or Smartling
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet software.
• Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, and basic knowledge of languages like C++ or Java can help in automation, debugging, and custom tool creation.
• File Parsing and Scripting: Handling formats like XML, JSON, YAML, HTML, and XLIFF for extraction and insertion of localizable content.
• Knowledge of regular expressions (regex) and basic scripting to automate processes is also valuable.
• Knowledge of Localization Tools: Experience with Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools (like MemoQ, SDL Trados, or Smartling) and localization management platforms. Familiarity with tools for software localization

Working Conditions:

• Working Days: 5

• Days Off: (Sun & Sat)

• Working Hours: 9:00 – 6:00 or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
