CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people eitherfrequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Localization Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the implementation of the locally led funding mechanism with Egyptian local actors and partner organizations. Reporting to the Localization Senior Officer, the postholder will support the planning, coordination, and management of partner engagement activities, capacity-strengthening initiatives, and localization efforts to promote meaningful participation and leadership of local actors.
The Localization Coordinator will support the localization senior officer in arrangement and coordination with local NGO partners, ensuring timely and effective communication, follow-up, compliance support, and strong coordination among stakeholders. The role will involve organizing and facilitating regular meetings, workshops, and consultations with local actors and partners to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and engagement.
The postholder will also be responsible for coordinating the administrative and logistical aspects of project implementation, including events, training, and partner meetings and consultations while ensuring compliance with Save the Children International (SCI) policies, procedures, and donor requirements.
In addition, the Localization Coordinator will maintain accurate documentation of project activities, events, lessons learned, and key reflections. The role will Assist the localization senior officer to ensure that Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) processes by ensuring that data collection, reporting, and documentation requirements are met in a timely and high-quality manner, contributing to continuous learning and effective program delivery.

· Lead on the arrangement and coordination of local partner events, ensuring that all logistical, administrative, and operational arrangements are completed effectively and on time to support the successful delivery of events and meaningful engagement of local partners.

· Draft the regular and regular reports to localization senior officer.
· Document all the project intervention.
· Regularly update the localization senior officer with progress, challenges and opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in, Social Sciences, or relevant development/management Studies
Minimumof3yearsofsuccessfulexperiencein working with local NGOS and local actors project
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in NGO programs, partnership management, localization and capacity strengthening.
• Experience working with local and national NGOs and familiarity with the Egyptian civil society and NGOs sector
• Knowledge of localization and locally led development approaches is highly desirable.
• Very good at using internet, MS Office and email
• Commitment to Save the Children values, and Child Safeguarding policy
