Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Local Leader (equity position only) based in Spain.

This is a unique leadership opportunity to shape and grow a local startup ecosystem by launching and running a globally recognized accelerator program in your region. You will act as the driving force behind early-stage entrepreneurial activity, connecting founders, mentors, and investors to accelerate the creation of high-potential technology companies. The role combines community leadership, program management, and hands-on founder mentorship in a highly entrepreneurial environment. You will be responsible for building local engagement while operating within a proven global framework that has already supported thousands of startups worldwide. This is a mission-driven position for someone deeply embedded in the startup ecosystem who wants to make a tangible impact on early-stage innovation. The role is part-time and designed for individuals motivated by long-term value creation rather than immediate compensation.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and grow a local startup ecosystem by managing and operating a structured 4-month accelerator program in your region.
  • Organize and facilitate regular online sessions, workshops, and in-person networking events to support early-stage founders.
  • Recruit, engage, and manage a network of mentors, advisors, and investors to support participating startups.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to early-stage entrepreneurs throughout their startup development journey.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the local innovation and startup community to drive participation and program success.
  • Act as the primary representative of the accelerator in your region, promoting its mission and expanding its reach.
  • Support the selection and evaluation of startup participants and contribute to ecosystem growth through active involvement.

    • Requirements:

    • Strong experience and active involvement in the startup ecosystem, either as a founder, operator, investor, or ecosystem builder.
    • Proven ability to lead communities, programs, or entrepreneurial initiatives in a structured and independent manner.
    • Deep understanding of early-stage startup development, fundraising, and growth challenges.
    • Strong communication and networking skills with the ability to engage founders, mentors, and investors effectively.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias for ownership, initiative, and long-term value creation.
    • Ability to commit approximately 8–10 hours per week in a flexible, part-time capacity.
    • Based in the Netherlands with strong local ecosystem connections.
