Intrum Global Technologies SIA (IGT) was established in Riga in 2010 to deliver high‑quality software development and IT services for the Intrum Group worldwide. Today, IGT brings together 190 professionals, primarily IT experts, supporting markets in 20 countries.

Are you our Local IT and Office support specialist?

The Local IT Specialist provides first‑line technical on-site support, manages user accounts, installs and maintains IT equipment, and ensures compliance with Group IT standards. The role oversees local hardware/software inventory, maintains office technical infrastructure, and may be required to act as an extension of Group IT for various initiatives, support cases and projects. Additionally, the specialist assists with basic office operations and supervises the premises during the Office Administrator’s absence.

Key Responsibilities:

User Support & Service Operations:

• Act as the on-site first point of contact for colleagues, register tickets on behalf of end users if required. Resolve user requests and incidents in a timely manner according to Group IT defined processes.
• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain user equipment (workstations, laptops, peripherals, mobile devices).
• Install and configure operating systems and software according to Group IT standards and requirements.
• Ensure user account lifecycle management: create and maintain user/workstation accounts, request required accesses, assist new hires with initial setup and password support, and participate in site-related Access Reviews.
• Ensure all IT tickets assigned to the Local IT group are resolved on time and communicate effectively with Group Infrastructure Services and other involved parties.

Asset & Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate stock and inventory of IT equipment, including receiving, issuing, returning, and documenting assets.
• Cooperate with IT hardware suppliers at both Group and local levels.
• Responsible for managing Intrum network equipment stock.

Local Technical Infrastructure:

• Ensure the proper functioning of all technical equipment and systems, including:
  • Local server room
  • Surveillance systems
  • TV and conference room equipment
  • Other relevant office technology

License & Compliance Management:

• Oversee local software license management, ensuring compliance with Group IT policies.
• Support external audits by providing required technical documentation and evidence.

Communication & Governance:

• Maintain up‑to‑date information about local IT support on the Intrum Intranet.
• Participate in Intrum Group transformation and modernization projects.
• Collaboration with Group IT
• Assist Group Infrastructure teams with LAB environments and other centralized service activities when required.
• Act as an extension of Intrum IT Service Desk for “walk up support” cases and ticket resolution requiring physical presence

Office Support (Non-IT Related):

• Support office maintenance activities, including moving desks, chairs, and similar equipment.
• Supervise the office during the absence of the Office Administrator, including:

• Coordinating and supervising external suppliers and service providers
• Managing access control (cards, visitor log)
• Issuing office equipment and maintaining accurate inventory registration

What we’re looking for:

Education:

• Vocational or higher education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent work experience may substitute formal education.

Skills & Competences:

• Strong knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems, workstation setup, and software installation.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365, user account administration, and access management.
• Practical skills in hardware troubleshooting, peripheral configuration, and basic network concepts.
• Experience supporting local office infrastructure (conference equipment, surveillance systems, server room basics).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation; able to support users at all levels.
• Accuracy in asset management, documentation, and license tracking.
• Problem‑solving mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.

Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience in IT support, service desk, or similar hands‑on technical role.
• Experience with ticketing systems and cooperation with centralized IT teams.
• Experience in hardware inventory management and handling suppliers is an advantage.
• Exposure to audits, compliance processes, or IT security reviews is a plus.
