Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Local Information Security Advisory and Cybersecurity professional to join our organization in Tlajomulco, Mexico. In this role, you will serve as a trusted security advisor, providing strategic guidance and recommendations to protect our organization's information assets and ensure compliance with local and international security standards. You will work closely with IT teams, management, and stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies tailored to our operational environment.

  • Assess and analyze local information security risks and vulnerabilities across the Local Systems and infrastructure.
  • Implement local information security and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices, regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive local information security and cybersecurity audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to established security protocols.
  • Advise location management on security best practices, emerging threats, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor security incidents and coordinate response efforts to minimize impact and prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with Local IT team to design and deploy security solutions and controls in the location.
  • Provide security awareness training and educational programs to employees at the location.
  • Document and maintain detailed security protocols, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Stay current with evolving security threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes affecting the location.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Cybersecurity, information security advisory, risk management, or related security roles.
  • Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices (TISAX, ISO 27001, ISO 16949).
  • Demonstrated expertise in security risk assessment, analysis, and mitigation strategies..
  • Experience developing and implementing information security policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of incident response and business continuity planning.
  • Familiarity with Mexican data protection regulations and local compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to advise diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Technical knowledge of network security, system security, and data protection.
  • Experience with security compliance audits and regulatory assessments.
  • Preferred: Information security certifications .
  • Preferred: Project management experience in security initiatives.
  • Preferred: Experience working in advisory or consulting capacities.
