Volkswagen Group Services is excited to inform that Volkswagen Group Info Services AG and Volkswagen Digital:Hub are joining forces to create something new in Barcelona: a dedicated “GIS:Hub” with a clear focus on commercial B2B data business. This is more than a new innovative Hub. It is the start of a joint journey at the intersection of automotive expertise and digital innovation.

The GIS:Hub brings together the best of two worlds:

• An agile, digital, hands-on environment from the Volkswagen Digital: Hub.

Where Automotive Meets Digital.

The GIS Hub coordinator role is responsible for setting up and managing the GIS Hub inside VWGS Iberia, in close collaboration with the counterparts in GIS AG. As the key interface for GIS AG, this role will build impactful services for the clients, maintain service quality, and manage the customer relationship. In addition to overseeing daily operations and acting as an entrepreneur within VWGS Iberia, this role focuses on the strategic development of the VWGS GIS Hub, and the management, development and coaching of the operational team

Main functions:

  • Lead the GIS Hub as a coordinator, managing delivery, quality of provided services. Continuously refine and evolve service portfolio
  • Oversee project progress by conducting weekly meetings with technical and sales teams, ensuring service delivery
  • Establish and run the Hub operating model across Product, Engineering and Sales (governance, cadences, KPIs, escalation paths)
  • Run the GIS Hub as an intrapreneur, overseeing strategy, finance/budgeting, communications/branding, and other relevant key processes
  • Build out and grow the VWGS GIS Hub (in team size, in revenue)
  • Work directly with clients to drive business development efforts
  • Lead and govern key internal roles e.g. sales (through pipeline health, forecasting discipline, prioritization of sales initiatives)
  • Build strong relationships with the GIS headquarters in Germany
  • Identify, hire and develop the right talent to move the GIS Hub forward
  • Lead (multiple) teams and projects concurrently, managing varied scales and durations.
  • Proactively seek feedback on own performance, sharing openly areas for improvement and encouraging a GIS Hub wide feedback culture
  • Build a strong, healthy culture for the corresponding organization

Secondary functions:

  • Give direct reports & team members regular feedback through regular 1:1s, providing actionable feedback based on concrete examples
  • Ensure compliance and data governance are applied (privacy/security/contractual), coordinating with the relevant functions.
  • Collaborate with HR to plan training, mentorship, and talent retention programs.
  • Collaborate with other organizations inside and outside Volkswagen, and similar roles/hubs within Volkswagen Group Services Spain
  • Develop and implement global quality standards and development processes to ensure consistency across regions.
  • Represent the company at conferences and technology events to strengthen the brand’s industry presence.
  • Demonstrate leadership aligned with the company's Leadership Principles, embodies the Group's core values (group essentials), and fosters a culture consistent with our People Profile. ·
  • Comply with the Occupational Risk Prevention Plan and other company policies and regulations established by VWGS Valencia, ensuring the integration of prevention into all productive and organizational processes and contributing to the smooth operation of the company.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in technical leadership roles, with extensive experience in managing large (30+) agile teams, scaling technologies, and driving innovation across multiple projects.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a similar field
  • Experience in bootstrapping, developing, products, organizations or larger-scale projects Affinity for Data, Sales, and Automotive Track record in stakeholder management and with international teams
  • Strong communication and presentations skills
  • Professional working proficiency of English required. German skills valuable
  • Flexibility to attend meetings across different time zones, participate in industry conferences, and occasional travel for client or leadership engagements.
