Job Description

Murrey’s Disposal is actively hiring a Residential Garbage Truck Driver with a valid Class A or B CDL to join our team in Fife, Washington.

If you're a safety-focused driver with experience in waste collection or looking to start a stable career in the waste management industry, we want to hear from you!

Pay & Schedule

  • Competitive hourly wages starting at $35.00–$35.50/hr

  • Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays

  • 45-hour work week with overtime opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a residential garbage truck on designated routes

  • Read and follow route sheets or dispatcher instructions

  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance

  • Load and unload waste materials—sometimes without assistance

  • Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and dispose of refuse

  • Provide courteous customer service and complete other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

  • Physically demanding role—requires lifting over 50 lbs

  • Exposure to outdoor weather, fumes, vibration, and moderate noise

  • Must follow all safety protocols around moving mechanical parts

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • At least 2 years of relevant driving experience

  • Basic knowledge of truck components for inspections

  • Safety Sensitive Position: Yes
