Job Description

What you’ll need to succeed as a Account Manager at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 1 year of related work experience
  • Transportation, Logistics, or LTL experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Available and flexible to work evenings and some weekends as needed

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of direct business-to-business selling experience supporting both local and national sales efforts
  • 2 years of experience in transportation or in Less Than Truckload (LTL)
  • Knowledge of OneCRM and Salesforce
  • Superior customer relationship management and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving techniques, strong planning, time management, analytical skills, and the ability to be productive in a variety of work environments
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Perform account management tasks with existing and dormant customers in multiple territories. This includes calling, virtual meetings, and emails
  • Grow share of wallet within existing customer base, gain share of wallet from dormant customers, and grow overall market share within your assigned territories
  • Develop relationships vertically and horizontally within customer organizations
  • Receive and track customer issues and complaints; resolve issues and communicate results and findings where appropriate
  • Research, follow up, and answer questions; resolve issues that come from any of the external or internal cross-functional teams
  • Prepare plans and escalate issues in a timely manner to both executive leadership and customers when encountering roadblocks
  • Contribute to quarterly business reviews and presentations
