Job Title:Loan Servicing Systems Specialist

Function:

The Loan Servicing Systems Specialist is responsible for the daily monitoring, validation, and processing of loan servicing transactions, data imports/exports, and reporting. This position ensures data integrity across systems, supports internal and external stakeholders, and assists in key operational projects. Furthermore, role includes Tier 1 systems administration, providing frontline support for core servicing platforms, resolving basic system access and functionality issues, and escalating more complex technical problems as needed.

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION TASKS INCLUDE

·Provide first-level support for core servicing platforms (e.g., MSP, GoAnywhere, Clarifire), including:

oUser account setup, password resets, and permission reviews.

oTroubleshooting basic system access or navigation issues.

oLogging and escalating complex technical issues to Tier 2/IT support as needed.

·Monitor system health and data sync across platforms to prevent disruption in servicing workflows.

·Assist in system audits and access reviews for compliance and security purposes.

·Identifying and sharing opportunities for process automation processes within loan servicing using tools available in servicing systems.

PORTFOLIO AND REPORTING ANALYST TASKS INCLUDE:

·Run and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to support operational accuracy, compliance, and quality control.

·Conduct weekly letter reviews and ticket reviews to ensure servicing activity is accurate and properly documented.

·Perform Servicing Systems Validate routines and ensure data consistency.

PRODUCTION TASKS INCLUDE:

·Daily loan boarding from loan production system to loan servicing system, including high-level QC and 2nd day verification of principal balances, and rectification of loan rejects from previous day’s boarding.

·Generation of transactions in the loan servicing system to produce transfer letters, place payment stops, and update servicing transfer information.

·Identifying any efficiencies to be gained from automation of tasks and freeing loan servicing team members from manual work.

·Collaborating on loan boarding platform for mapping and converting data to the loan servicing system.

·Other duties as assigned.

DESIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE:

·High school diploma required; post-high school training (college or technical training) desired.

·Minimum of 3+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, loan operations, or financial data processing.

·2 years of systems administration experience.

·Familiarity with mortgage servicing systems (Black Knight MSP, Ellie Mae Encompass, FICS Mortgage Servicer, or other systems that offer knowledge of mortgage production and servicing) is a plus.

·Excellent writing skills and ability to convey information verbally to non-technical end-users in a friendly, non-judgmental manner.

·Willingness to present and share new ideas, collaborate openly on projects, and challenge “status-quo” processes and procedures where efficiencies can be identified.

·Fully competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher). Advanced skills with Excel, including experience with formulas (or ability to research and deploy), pivot tables, data import, data export.

·VBA scripting experience is highly desired. Ability to read SQL scripts, XML scripts is a plus. Ability to translate between programmers and non-technical end-users is desired.

·Must possess understanding of logical operators (examples: IF, AND, THEN, ELSE, GREATER THAN/LESS THAN, CASEWHEN, IN FILE, NULL, etc.).

·Ability to work unsupervised for long periods in the day, prioritize tasks, meet service-level agreements, maintain focus on projects and manage details. Depending on where the candidate is located, this position may be remotely supervised.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment.
  • Must be able to walk/ sit for at least 8 hours or more (Majority of shift is spent sitting).
  • Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty five pounds (25 lbs) or occasionally more.
  • Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, sit climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

·Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
