A Brief Overview
Under limited supervision, service commercial real estate loans which includes accurate accounting and reconciliation of all fees, escrows, taxes, insurance, and amortization schedules. Assist in creating and scheduling servicing and management reports. Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards and controls related to CML and real estate management to help ensure the company’s regulatory compliance.
What you will do
Assist with the implementation of software systems and the automated conversion of all third-party servicer date to an in-house loan management system.
Create new and refine existing loan servicing procedures and guidelines to ensure accurate documentation for departmental processes.
Create and manage all loan servicing files and provide manual input of all property level information and any missing information from the initial data load.
Maintain knowledge of lending practices as related to real estate loans.
Create, schedule, and update all servicing and management reports and amortization schedules on all loans. Prepare monthly accounting reports for investment accounting.
Monitor receipt of all monthly principal, interest and escrow payments and issue late payment letters as necessary. Maintain accurate accounting of all required escrows, ensure timely payment of all property taxes or verify tax payments and issue default letters as necessary.
Monitor insurance expirations and ensure that property/casualty insurance is in force at all times and issue default letters as necessary.
Serves as back-up support to Director and provides approval authority as needed on payment of taxes, insurance, escrow draws, boarding loans, etc
Communicates with borrowers regarding loan related issues including assumptions, transfers, releases, creation of statement of accounts, etc.
Prepare and mail 1099s on an annual basis.
Monitor all upcoming loan maturities and issue maturity notice letters beginning six months prior to actual maturity date.
Prepare and file loan release documentation and loan payoff statements upon request from borrower or at loan maturity.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent related work experience
3+ years commercial real estate loan servicing
Preferred:
Insurance, financial and accounting services experience
Experience with LMS 2000 software
Skills and Abilities
Required:
Intermediate Word, Excel and SQL/Query skills
Advanced knowledge of commercial mortgage loan theory and application
Advanced knowledge of commercial mortgage loan tracking software applications
Advanced skills in customer service.
Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability
Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions

Compensation Range:
$66,740.00 - $94,800.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
