Mortgage Loan Processor Closer I

Responsible for processing and closing documents for all types of mortgage loans to include in-house, secondary market, and term equity loans. They will assist with administrative duties in the operation of the residential mortgage loan area and related clerical functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
a. Perform all responsibilities needed to complete all mortgage loans from application to closing.
b. Assist with compiling and preparing documents needed to complete Credit Application and Loan Closing, Documents for USDA/VA and Conventional loans.
i. Deliver to appropriate underwriter a completed credit application loan file package.
ii. Deliver to the appropriate investor a completed post-closing mortgage loan file.
iii. Communicate loan progress and obtain needed information from credit bureaus, purchasers, sellers, agents, title companies, appraisers, surveyors, etc.
iv. Communicate with loan originator any information needed for credit application and post- closing mortgage loan files.
c. Answer, respond, and direct telephone calls promptly and professionally. Take messages as needed.
d. Assist as needed with administrative duties related to the residential mortgage loan department.
e. Assist originator as needed with related duties to Residential Mortgage Loans as requested.
f. Responsible for final review of any documents needed by the mortgage loan approval commitment and signed off by underwriter prior to closing.
g. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Basic computer skills (use of Microsoft Word & Excel).
3. Math aptitude.
4. Processing and administrative skills.
5. Time management skills.
6. Detail oriented.
Physical Requirements:
Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, fingering, grasping, repetitive
motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentrating and interacting with others.
