Summary:
The loan processing and Documentation Specialist works with the LOAN Administration Manager and is responsible for an assigned range of Credit and loan document processing duties required to service the bank’s loan portfolio in accordance with the loan policy and regulatory requirements. these duties include: verifying the accuracy and totality of loan credit and collateral underwriting, including supporting documentation, prior to approving and processing the request for loan document preparation and closing. Position requires THOROUGH knowledge of and experience in loan documentation, with a heavy emphasis on C & I LENDING AND commercial real estate.
Primary Responsibilities:
The duties listed below are some of the duties that may be assigned and may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
- Responsible for reviewing all relevant documentation necessary to ensure loan files are complete prior to loan document preparation.
- Review includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the following documentation is in the file and accurate according to regulatory guidelines and the bank’s lending policy: Real Estate Title Information, Flood Certificates, Appraisals, Surveys, Lien Searches, Insurance, Borrowing Entity and Individual Customer documents.
- Processing and production of complex commercial loan documents in Trustage Loan Documentation System, to include Commercial Security Instruments and Business Loan Agreements with complex financial reporting requirements and covenants
- Assisting with HMDA data entry
- Cross-Training for other Loan Admin functions
- Routine clerical duties as required or assigned
- Completion of all required training
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

- A minimum education of a high school degree, college degree preferred
- At least one year of experience in processing commercial loan documents or compliance duties
- General knowledge of loan documentation requirements based on collateral types
- Able to function in a high attention to detail, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong computer skills are required
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to organize information
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Computer and Office Equipment Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
