Job Description

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the underwriting of new small business loan applications.
  • Review credit reports and background reports to determine degree of risk involved with providing small business loans.
  • Analyze bank statements and business financial reports.
  • Document paperwork and relay information to the credit officer who will handle the application next.
  • Give a detailed recommendation, approved or declined, based on specific criteria and stipulations.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Underwriting / Credit analyst experience a strong plus
  • Experience in small business lending is helpful but not necessary
  • Experience involving financial analysis is not essential but a strong plus
  • Familiarity with personal and company credit reports, ASIC searches, and other various

background checking information.

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and ability to follow processes
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interact professionally with management, sales, and business owners.
  • Experience in a high-pressured environment working to deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
