Job Description

Assistant Manager / Manager

Location: Singapore

Department: Global Capital Markets

Work Mode: Hybrid

Shift: SGT Shift

The Position

Global Capital Markets provides trustee and agency services across international debt markets, supporting transactions including syndicated loans, project finance and structured credit.

Loan agency is a core and growing business line, where we act as Facility Agent and Security Agent on complex, cross-border transactions involving banks, private credit funds and corporates across Asia-Pacific.

Unlike traditional loan operations roles that are often system-driven and siloed, the Loan Operations Group operates as a transaction management function with end-to-end visibility across the deal lifecycle. The team is responsible for interpreting facility documentation, executing transactions and managing ongoing deal mechanics in close coordination with borrowers, lenders and legal counsel.

This role offers hands-on ownership of loan agency mandates, covering onboarding through to lifecycle events (including amendments and restructurings) with direct client and deal exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret facility agreements and translate terms into operational workflows
  • Resolve documentation issues with legal counsel and stakeholders prior to go-live
  • Set up transactions including interest mechanics, fee structures and payment waterfalls
  • Manage a portfolio of bilateral and syndicated loans as Facility Agent and/or Security Agent
  • Execute drawdowns, repayments, rollovers and rate fixings
  • Perform and validate interest and fee calculations, including non-standard structures (e.g. margin ratchets, step-ups)
  • Manage lifecycle events including amendments, waivers and consents
  • Oversee transaction cashflows and coordinate with payment teams for timely settlement
  • Act as a key contact for borrowers, lenders and external counsel
  • Manage lender communications, notices and consent processes
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to process and control enhancements

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Experience & Technical Capabilities

  • 3–6 years in bank loan operations, loan agency / loan administration or corporate trust with loan exposure
  • Strong understanding of syndicated loans, including interest calculations and day count conventions, Drawdowns, rollovers and repayments, fee structures (e.g. commitment, agency fees) and ability to interpret facility agreements independently.

Core Skills

  • Strong ownership mindset with attention to detail
  • Analytical and able to resolve transaction issues independently
  • Effective communicator with confidence engaging external stakeholders

Preferred Background

  • Degree in Banking & Finance or related discipline
  • Experience supporting cross-border transactions and multi-jurisdictional structures
