
Basic Qualifications
Loan Operations Representative I:
Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent; AIB related courses or associate’s degree in related field preferred.
Skill(s): Clearly communicates in English; moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; moderate interpersonal relations and communicative skills; moderate PC skills, including knowledge of loan software; visual and auditory skills.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience normally required.
Loan Operations Representative II:
Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent. Industry related training or associate degree in related field normally required.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Loan Operations Rep 1 or equivalent is normally required to provide the skills and knowledge needed to handle a larger volume of work at a more complex level.
Skill(s)/Key Competencies: Clearly communicates in English; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient PC skills, including a proficient demonstrated knowledge of loan procedures and software; visual and auditory skills.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the loan operations function; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.
While this job posting is for a Representative, we would consider hiring a Specialist with 5 years minimum experience at a higher pay rate of $21.93 - $36.18.
Essential Duties (Representative I)
a. Forwards billing notices, statements, rate change notices, and other correspondence to customers.
b. Reviews all dealer statements and forwards them to the appropriate dealer.
c. Sorts incoming departmental daily mail and distributes as appropriate.
d. Verifies loan payments received via mail and prepares for teller processing.
e. Prepares satisfaction of mortgages, UCCs, and title releases on paid loans; returns satisfied collateral to customers on paid loans.
f. Processes paid loan papers and returns documents to customers.
g. Check and verify data and images for newly closed Consumer Loans
h. Verifies that new loans have proper insurance coverage.
i. Files loan documentation for all new loans (consumer, mortgage and commercial)
j. Monitors and renews UCC filings and title encumbrance.
k. Monitors exception reports for outstanding items, actively works exceptions to obtain documents and updates collateral tracking as necessary.
l. Files address changes for loan returned mail.
Essential Duties (Representative II)
a. Check and verify data and images for newly closed HE, HELOC and Residential Mortgages
b. Submit Debt Protection for Closed End Home Equity Loans and consumer loans, as applicable
c. Submit PMI to activate on residential mortgage loans, as applicable
d. Submit information to USDA to activate coverage, as applicable
e. Order tax Monitoring or escrow with the third party (Lereta)
f. Responsible for cancelling PMI Insurance for paid loans
g. Responsible for cancelling Life of Loan Flood monitoring
h. Responsible for cancelling Debt Protection
i. Responsible for cancelling tax monitoring or third-party escrow payments.
j. Work exception (NAI) reports from Lereta and upload missing documents
k. Assist the Loan Operations Rep I when needed
Essential Duties (Representative I & II)
2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department, as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
3. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate Bank personnel.
