Job Description

The Loan Operations Optimization Analyst with PlainsCapital Bank is responsible for executing process improvement and automation initiatives within Loan Operations. This role focuses on analyzing workflows, building process documentation, supporting automation development, and maintaining optimized solutions. Under limited supervision, the Analyst contributes to the successful delivery of initiatives through detailed execution and technical expertise.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of current-state Loan Operations processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement, automation or redesign.
  • Identify and evaluate repetitive or manual tasks suitable for automation and operational redesign.
  • Develop and maintain process maps, workflows and supporting documentation to accurately reflect operational process.
  • Streamline processes to enhance overall customer experience and improve operational scalability.
  • Assist in configuring and testing workflow enhancements and automation tools (e.g., RPA, workflow platforms) to ensure proper functionality and data integrity.
  • Support integration efforts by validating data flow and system interactions across Loan Operations applications.
  • Monitor workflow and automation performance; troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements to maintain stability and regulatory compliance.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), production metrics, and quality standards to support ongoing process optimization.
  • Create and maintain user guides, process documentation, and knowledge repositories.
  • Provide training and communication support to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Participate in requirements-gathering sessions and workshops with business and technical teams to support solution design.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Loan Operations systems (e.g., BankPoint, Salesforce) and perform routine administrative or configuration support tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with Loan Operations, IT, PMO, Finance, Compliance, and other stakeholders to support successful implementation of process improvements.
  • Perform additional duties and project support as required by management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Data/Process Analytics OR equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in loan/credit operations, business process optimization, or related operational or analytical role required.
  • Working knowledge of loan operations processes, with familiarity in regulatory and compliance requirements preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate processes, interpret data, and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting process improvement or automation initiatives; exposure to tools such as Power Automate, UiPath, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience documenting business processes, workflows, and requirements to support system or process enhancements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and accountable, with a demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Exposure to Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
