Job Description

The Loan Operations Loan Fulfillment Floater will be responsible for the accurate and complete delivery of consumer lending and small business loan documents utilizing the Application and document preparation system in accordance to the approval. The Fulfillment Floater will be responsible for covering any area with high volume. The Fulfillment Floater will be responsible for meeting completeness, turn-time, and accuracy requirements dictated by established service level agreements. The Fulfillment Floater will work closely with the Loan Closing Specialists, Documentation Specialists, QC Specialist, Funding/Booking Specialists, and Lender and/or external closing agents.

What You’ll Do

  • Performs complex and/or non-routine tasks exercising significant judgment and discretion in the performance of duties usually in support of a single team within Loan Operations.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed loan documents for loan operations such as loan documents for intermediate to complex loan types within specified due date and time, and in compliance with bank regulatory and investor guidelines.
  • The ability to prepare all Consumer and SBG Commercial Non- Real Estate loan packages.
  • The ability to deliver homeowner council notices for applicable applications daily.
  • The ability to mail or confirm email delivery of appraisals for both Consumer and Small Business applications where appraisal delivery is required.
  • The ability to QC all consumer real- estate apps.
  • The ability to perform all title queue duties.
  • The ability to complete tasks for return mail.
  • The ability to assist with monitoring reports for Consumer and SBG apps in progress.
  • The ability to assist with non-post items for Consumer and SBG apps in progress.

Policy/Guidelines/Regulations/Laws/Compliance/Audit/Legal/Product:

  • Thorough understanding of all consumer and small business loan products
  • Excellent knowledge of Consumer Lending Credit Policy/Guidelines
  • Excellent knowledge of loan documentation, collateral evaluation, lien perfection, local, state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge and utilization of fair lending practices, rules and regulations, CIP, Reg H, HMDA, CRA, Reg O requirements

Customer Service:

  • Promotes a team environment with Underwriter, Loan Closing Specialists, Lender, Other Loan Operations team members
  • Efforts are focused on maximizing customer experience
  • Fosters a positive working environment with all business partners
  • Functions as a collaborator
  • Able to represent the Loan Documentation Preparation process
  • As applicable, ensures Lender, Loan Closing Specialists, attorneys, title companies, 3rd parties are updated daily on the status of loans in process
  • Provides timely, complete and accurate responses to inquiries
  • Handles all situations in a professional, ethical manner
  • Escalates special situations or problems as necessary
  • Supports and contributes to the quality and sales goals of the bank

Productivity:

  • Ensures all goals and departmental service standards (SLAs) are met
  • Manages production in times of fluctuating volumes and consistently meets production and turnaround time standards
  • Consistently meets quality and data integrity standards
  • Effectively utilizes available workflow and imaging tools

Requirements For Success

  • High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent experience in a related field acceptable; college degree preferred
  • 2 – 3 years’ work experience in a financial institution with a focus on loan documentation.
  • 2+ years consumer loan and/or small business loan experience.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills evidenced in previous assignments.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of applicable bank policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of loan documents and requirements.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending and small business loans.
  • Good knowledge of Meridian Link, NewGen, 360 View, Unity Director, Premier, and UCBI internal banking systems.
  • Good personal computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL, WORD, email, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Utilized independence in problem solving and decision making

Conditions of Employment

This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

This position requires up to 5% travel.

Pay Range

USD $21.27 - USD $22.44 /Hr.
