Loan Operations Group Manager

Location: El Monte, CA

Compensation: Up to $150,000 base salary, with flexibility up to $180,000+ for highly qualified candidates at the FVP/SVP level.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Loan Operations Group Manager to lead and oversee multiple loan servicing functions within a growing financial institution. This leadership role is responsible for managing residential mortgage servicing operations, while providing oversight of commercial lending, SBA servicing, and loan administration activities.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive mortgage servicing expertise, strong operational leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive process improvements, regulatory compliance, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple loan servicing and operations teams.
• Oversee residential mortgage servicing, HELOC, SBA, and commercial loan servicing functions.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, productivity metrics, and service-level objectives.
• Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit, and executive leadership teams.
• Manage staffing, performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, and employee development.
• Oversee Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and operational control frameworks.
• Respond to internal and external audits and implement corrective action plans.
• Review vendor performance and third-party servicing operations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of mortgage loan servicing experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple teams or departments.
• Strong knowledge of residential mortgage servicing operations.
• Experience with commercial lending and SBA servicing preferred.
• Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, audits, and operational controls.
• Experience developing policies, procedures, and process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of loan servicing platforms and systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
