Key responsibilities for the Loan IQ BA will include
Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
Collaborate with front, middle, and back-office stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, and strategic objectives.
Translate complex commercial lending business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and technical requirements.
Map "as-is" business processes and design efficient "to-be" workflows within the Loan IQ framework.
Loan IQ Configuration & Implementation
Configure Loan IQ parameters, including deal structures, fee rules, pricing options, calendars, and accounting rules.
Analyze and support Loan IQ modules such as Deal/Facility setup, Secondary Trading, Agency/Participant administration, and Financial Messaging (SWIFT).
Assist in Loan IQ version upgrades, patch installations, and data migration strategies from legacy systems.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Define testing strategies and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and execution scripts.
Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business partners.
Investigate, triage, and track Loan IQ system defects, working closely with developers and Finastra support for resolution.
Production Support & Stakeholder Management
Provide Level 3 functional support for complex production issues, data discrepancies, and system queries.
Act as the primary liaison between business users, internal development teams, and external vendors (Finastra).
Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and release notes.
Required Skills
Loan IQ Expertise Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with Finastra Loan IQ (functional configuration, data model, and architecture).
Lending Knowledge Deep understanding of Corporate/Commercial Banking, including Syndicated Loans, Bilateral Loans, Agency Functions, and Secondary Loan Trading.
Data & Tools Proficient in writing SQL queries for data analysis and reporting. Experience with Loan IQ database schemas is highly preferred.
SDLC Methodologies Strong experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall environments. Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
