About the Role

Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Loan Documentation Specialist to join the team in our Lending Services department. As a Loan Documentation Specialist, you will deliver a World Class Experience to clients and associates by being responsible for all tasks related to documentation of consumer and commercial loans. The Loan Documentation Specialist will be responsible for reviewing documentation requests and preparing loan documentation. You will also provide operational support to the Commercial Lending Group lending team at the direction of the Commercial Lending Manager as required. The incumbent must provide a World Class. You will be located in Goleta, CA with a fully on-site work schedule.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year up to 3 years of previous experience in a Loan Documentation or Lending Services department or similar required.
  • Experience with loan documentation software applications, preferably Compliance Systems or similar required.
  • Understanding of key lending terms and common loan structuring preferred.
  • Experience with the FISERV Premier System of similar lending “Core” system preferred.
  • Experience with loan closings preferred.
  • Understanding of commercial, consumer, small business and construction loan structures and documentation requirements preferred.
  • Experience with CogniVision or other electronic repository preferred.

Your Responsibilities

The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare Commercial, Consumer, and SBA Loan Documents with simple to highly complex structures and is responsible for assisting the CLG and/or Business Banking Portfolio Managers with the loan process.
  • Process incoming documentation requests; enter into documentation log and update throughout the day.
  • Assist in the set up and testing of Loan Documentation system specifications and configuration for new and revised loan products.
  • Support funding and closing tasks prior to boarding for all commercial, consumer, and credit cards.
  • Assist department with servicing functions such as payment processing, wire processing, and paid-note processing.
  • Responsible to all Port Maintenance, new and existing.
  • Responsible for completion in the LOS platform of signature blocks including but not limited to completing contacts and signers and ownership structure pages in the system.
  • Assist with setting up DocuSign envelopes and/or set up the LOS system for DocuSign based on the application integration.
  • Prepare and review demands for third-party institutions.
