Division: Bank Operations

Department: Retail Loan Servicing

Reports to: FVP, Closing and Funding Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Grade: 7

Salary Range: $20.50 - $35.99

Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Location: Boston, MA or Pittsfield, MA

Purpose/Objective

Performs review of the closed loan package upon receipt from the closing agent. Works closely with closing agents, mortgage loan officers, processors, and underwriters. Clears outstanding items on files to get loans completed in a timely fashion.

Key Accountabilities

  • Performs quality control review of closed loan files, which includes CD review, document expirations, address validations, escrow determinations and cash to close review. 25%
  • Works with processors/underwriters/loan officers and closing agents to collect and submit stips for investor approval and/or obtain any outstanding documentation to complete the loan file for boarding. 25%
  • Obtains the Trailing Documents for all closed loans. 25%
  • Process all wire / deposit requests to the appropriate parties upon file being Cleared to Fund. 25%
  • Performs backup duties for sale of loans to Investors, retrieving Purchase Advice from Investors for purchased loans and shipping/submission of closed loan packages to Investors.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college desired

Experience:

  • 3+ years of post-closing experience
  • Experience in conventional post-closing, FHA, VA, USDA, CHFA, Mass Housing, and construction loans

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve and find resolutions
