LOAN CLERK

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 / hour
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Assists with clerical support and loan processing.
- Process loan paid outs – file real estate releases, mail paid original documents to customer.
- Maintains all original loan documents in consistent and orderly manner.
- Process and prepare loan payments, loan payoffs, advances, escrow payments, insurance payments, loan participations and loan purchases.
- File UCC financing statements for proper extensions, modifications & terminations. File vehicle title and process releases.
- Greets customers and answers phone. Provide telephone customer service and support for external and internal customers regarding inquiries and problem resolution. Researches and resolves problems as needed.
- Provide clerical support.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of basic accounting.
- Skill in communicating with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
- Ability to function as a team player.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous banking experience or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Previous experience with computer software.
