Loader/Pallet Wrapper

Location: AB1 Distribution Centre

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Wage: $23.06 per hour

Position Summary

AB1 Distribution Centre is seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and flexible Loader to join our operations team. This role plays a key part in ensuring outbound shipments are loaded accurately and efficiently while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading trailers, picking shorts, wrapping pallets, and supporting various warehouse functions as operational needs require.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load outbound trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Pick and process short orders as required.
  • Wrap and secure pallets to ensure safe transportation.
  • Operate single pallet jacks, double pallet jacks, and PACERs as required.
  • Move and stage product throughout the warehouse.
  • Verify pallet quality and shipment readiness prior to loading.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to other departments as required to meet operational demands.
  • Support replenishment activities when needed if qualified and trained on a reach truck.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous warehouse or distribution centre experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating single and double pallet jacks and PACERs is an asset.
  • Reach truck experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn different areas of the operation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and material handling devices.
  • Ability to work overtime as required to support business needs.
