We are looking for a “ Load and Performance Engineer” to design, execute, analyze, and report performance tests for the ZONOS ecosystem with it’s modules/Connectors related to MDM & HES , APIs, streaming services, databases, and integration components.
The engineer will define realistic load profiles, simulate production-like traffic, identify bottlenecks, measure system capacity, and provide performance recommendations before release or customer deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute load, stress, scalability, spike, and failover performance tests for HES/MDM product
Create realistic test scenarios covering:
Define performance KPIs such as:
Maintain load test scripts using tools such as “ JMeter, k6, Simulator and Mock serve”
Monitor performance using tools such as “ Prometheus, Grafana”.
Analyze bottlenecks across:
Prepare detailed performance reports with findings, risks, recommendations, comparison with previous versions and release readiness conclusions.
Work with QA, DevOps, backend developers, product owners, and customer delivery teams to define acceptance criteria and performance baselines.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in performance testing, load testing, or performance engineering.
Had experience in the Energy Management utility (Meter data management, HES ….)
Strong understanding of:
Experience with monitoring and observability:
Good knowledge of databases and query performance, preferably in addition to good knowledge about system setup:
Experience testing high-volume data ingestion, messaging, or IoT/AMI/utility platforms is highly preferred.
Ability to analyze logs, metrics, traces, and system behavior under load.
Strong scripting skills in at least one language:
