An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Livestock Agent to join our team in the Riverina Hills servicing Tumut, Gundagai and Adelong, a prime livestock region ideally located within close proximity to Wagga Wagga home of NSW’s largest livestock selling centre.

Build Your Career with Elders

Joining Elders means becoming part of a team committed to supporting and growing your career. Located in the highly regarded Riverina Hills region, this role offers the chance to live and work in a blue-ribbon livestock area known for its reliable rainfall, productivity, and lifestyle appeal. Enjoy easy access to Wagga Wagga, Canberra, and Albury, while benefiting from strong local community connections and national support.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Stock Agent to join our branch on a permanent, full-time basis.

As a key member of the team, you will provide clients with professional livestock sales support and trusted market insights. Working both within the branch and on-farm, you will assess, prepare and market livestock to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.

No two days are the same — this is a dynamic, relationship-driven role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients
  • Identify and cultivate new livestock sales and business opportunities
  • Build networks with processors, exporters, and industry partners
  • Provide professional, on-site livestock advice tailored to client operations
  • Negotiate effectively to deliver successful outcomes for buyers and sellers
  • Maximise promotional opportunities and represent Elders at industry and community events

About You

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Be passionate about livestock and the agricultural industry
  • Be sales-driven, motivated, and resilient
  • Have strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Enjoy building long-term client relationships
  • Be proactive and willing to roll up your sleeves to grow your portfolio
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe livestock handling practices
  • Previous agency experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate with drive and industry knowledge.
