Broadloom Sewon Operator (R401)

The purpose of this job is to fulfill Operator level jobs and tasks in the Broadloom value stream.

Jobs in this class are:

  1. R401 Sew-on / Rover (Primary job to fill)
  2. R401 Inspector
  3. R101 Sew-on
  4. Cross train and fill in on Operator level jobs

Some skills required for these positions include:

  • Perform planned maintenance and daily team maintenance
  • Follow planning map and dye schedule
  • Sew straight seams and free of creases from the sew-on table
  • Receive in inventory (SAP)
  • Operate PIV with long pole attachment
  • Knowledge of base carpet

The position will report to the Broadloom Supervisor.

Some responsibilities include:

    • Comply with all plant, area safety rules, LOTO procedures and ISO specifications.
    • Confirm trailers on board are at dock and call trailers.
    • Verify greige was issued correctly in SAP.
    • Perform Weekly cycle counts.
    • Stage/Confirm greige is ready for upcoming colorways.
    • Draw Pic lines on carpet when unloading and measure length to make sure they are correct width.
    • Inspect rolls when unloading to make sure the ID line is on the correct side.
    • Transport/Dispose of tubes.
    • Clean Millitron Pre-Circulation filters as needed.
    • Unload supplier trailers.
    • Perform periodic audits.
    • Fill in on Sew on, Millitron, & Inspection jobs to cover for vacations/absences and breaks.
  • Proper handling of tubes in the inspection area, disposable, shipping of tubes, and maintain tubes for the inspector.
  • Keeping dumpsters emptied at R101 sew on area, inspection area, reinspect tables and cut tables.

This is a non-rotating, straight 12-hour shift, this position is for 3rd Shift 7pm - 7am with a normal schedule of M-F, but some weekends may be required.
